Compare & contrast vector images and pixel images:
  • vector images are not made up of pixels therefore you can make a vector image as bug or as small as you want and it will always have the same quality.
  • Pixel images are pictures that have roughly around 72 pixels per inch. Pixels make a picture choppy and jagged, so if you want to change the pictures size you won't get a good quality.
To print raster images the quality needs to be 300 dpi.

To display raster images on the internet the quality needs to be at 72 dpi.
